MINUTES of a, regular meeting of the Redevelopment Agency
of the City of Redlands held in the Council
Chambers, Safety Hall, 212 Brookside Avenue,
on September 18, 1984 , at 3 : 40 P.M.

Minutes of the regular meeting of the Redevelopment
Agency of the City of Redlands of August 21 ,
1984 , were approved as submitted.
On motion of Mr. DeMirjyn, seconded by Mr. Martinez ,
Statement of a Statement of Indebtedness for 1984-85 was
Indebtedness authorized to be filed with the County pursuant
to requirements of Redevelopment Law.
On motion of Mr. Larsen, seconded by Mr. Martinez ,
Improvement the Chairman of the Redevelopment Agency was
Agreement authorized to execute an Improvement Agreement
in connection with the purchase of the Old City
Yards located at 713 Oriental Avenue.
Mr. DeMirjyn expressed concern with the Redevelopment
program, noting that $164 ,445 has been paid to
date to The Arroyo Group for what he referred
to as "fancy pictures. " He felt certain we would
not attract any large shops to the area and that
perhaps we should re-evaluate the program and
concentrate on flood control and a smaller core
area. Mr. Martinez expressed confidence that
the Redevelopment staff was re-evaluating on
a constant on-going basis, but that perhaps some
time should be set aside for more discussion
at this level. Mr. Larsen felt the program was
discussed thoroughly at the meetings and voted
on and was not clear as to what the problem was.
Mrs. Beswick reminded the Board that the budget
was being prepared and that would be a good time
ARM for further discussion.

There being no further business, the Redevelopment
w Agency meeting adjourned at 3 : 50 P.M.
