of the City of Redlands, held in the Council
Chambers, Safety Hall, 212 Brookside Avenue, on
February 1, 1977 at 3 :40 P.M.

ABSENT None
The minutes of the regular Agency meeting and
the joint Council-Agency meeting of January 18,
1977 were approved as submitted.
Redevelopment Director Mitchell reported that
Pacific Mr. Taylor had been successful in obtaining a
Telephone
Suit favorable court decision on the City's suit
with the Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Company.

Mr. Taylor said that he expected the company to
appeal this decision in a higher court. He
explained that this is a new field of law and
similar suits are taking place in other cities .
He added that the telephone company may come to
the City with the $73, 000 cost of moving the
transcontinental cable against the Redevelopment
Agency as a "relocation cost" . Mr . Mitchell
added that there is a claim also by the gas
company.
My. Mitchell expressed concern about having
Parcels 1, 2 and 5 of the Redevelopment Area on
the tax rolls by March 1, 1977 and recommended
that the Agency authorize this action, even
Recordation though the financial differences between the
Mall Area Agency and the Hahn Company have not been settled.
Following discussion, on motion of Member Knudsen,
seconded by Member Miller, Mr. Mitchell was
authorized to arrange recordation of the docu-
ments, with the Mayor and the necessary persons
signing the documents to transfer the property
to the Redlands Mall Associates .
Mr. Mitchell explained that on Tuesday, February 8,
1977, bids for the refunding bonds will be opened
at 11 :00 A.M. and recommended that the Agency
adjourn to an adjourned regular meeting of the
Redevelopment Agency to be held at 2 :30 P.M. that
date in the Council Chambers .
There being no further business, the Redevelopment
Agency adjourned to an adjourned regular meeting
on February 8, 1977, at 2 :30 P.M.
