MINUTES of a regular meeting of the Redevelopment Agency of the City of
Redlands held in the Council Chambers, 212 Brookside Avenue,
on April 19, 1988, at 4:45 P.M.

ABSENT None
Chairman Beswick called the meeting to order and immediately
recessed to a closed session for the purpose of discussing
pending litigation. In accordance with State law, the Agency
Attorney prepared a confidential memo providing justification for
the closed session. The meeting reconvened on March 20, 1988,
at 12:15 A.M.
Minutes of the regular meeting of April 5, 1988, were approved
as submitted.
Kay's Cafe The owner of Kay's Cafe, 501 Orange Street, would like to
rehabilitate the building and continue his restaurant business in
that location. He currently holds a lease with the Redevelopment
Agency with about three years remaining. Agency members
expressed concern about the need for seismic-retrofitting the
structure and lack of parking, and directed the Redevelopment
Advisory Commission to study this matter and report back.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at
12:25 A.M. on March 20, 1988.
