Minutes of the regular meeting of January 3, 1989, were approved
as submitted.
PUBLIC HEARING
Public hearing was continued to this time and place to consider a
commercial lease for the purpose of leasing to Redlands Mattress and
Upholstery a portion of the building located at 301 North Third Street.
As an agreement has not yet been reached with Redlands Mattress,
staff recommends that this matter be continued to February 21, 1989.
On motion of Mr. Johnson, seconded by Mrs. Wormser, this public
hearing was continued as recommended.
Resolution The acquisition of a former spur line of the A.T. & S.F. Railway
No. 208 (Assessor's Parcel No. 169-312-02) and lands formerly occupied by
the Southern Pacific Railway (Assessor's Parcel No. 169-312-14)
Property between Sixth and Seventh Streets, north of Redlands Boulevard,
Acquisition is required for the purposes of implementing the Disposition and
Development Agreement with Mission Plaza Associates and the
construction of the Mission Zanja Flood Control Channel in that area.
Timely possession of these properties and subsequent disposition
appears, at this time, to require the use of eminent domain.
Mr. DeMirjyn moved to adopt Resolution No. 208, a resolution of the
Redevlopment Agency of the City of Redlands setting a hearing on
February 7, 1969, at 3:00 P.M. regarding acquisition of real property
by eminent domain. Motion seconded by Mrs. Wormser and carried
with Mr. Cunningham abstaining from the vote.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 5:02 P.M.
Next regular meeting, February 7, 1989.
