Minutes of the regular meeting of October 1, 1991, were approved
as submitted.
Public hearing was set for this time and place to consider a
commercial lease of the Agency-owned building at 348 Orange
Street to Pat Padget, The Carpet Cleaner. The Redevelopment
Agency requested that the matter and public hearing be canceled.
By consensus of Agency members present, the public hearing was
closed and no further action will be taken on this matter.
Easement In conjunction with the Santa Fe Depot Project undergrounding of
the off-site Southern California Edison electrical transmission
Santa Fe plant, Mrs. Beswick moved to approve a Grant of Easement to
Depot Southern California Edison Company and that the appropriate
officials of the Agency be authorized to execute such easement.
Motion seconded by Mr. Cunningham and carried by AYE votes of
all present.
Project Home A temporary loan was requested in the amount of $30,000 by the
Again Project Home Again Shelter staff until receipt of Community
Development Block Grant moneys which will be secured by a loan
document executed by Counsel. Agency staff and the
Redevelopment Advisory Commission unanimously support the
recommendation, however, at this time the Agency is requesting a

continuance to the next meeting so that the CDBG Reprogramming
of Funds public hearing scheduled for November 5, 1991, is not
prejudiced. Ms. Amy Castle, speaking on behalf of Project Home
Again, stated to Agency Members that a two week delay would not
adversely affect the project. All Members concurred to continue
this item to November 5, 1991.
The Redevelopment Agency meeting recessed at 4:10 P.M. to a
closed session for the purpose of discussing pending litigation. In
accordance with State law, the Agency Attorney prepared a
confidential memo providing justification for the pending litigation
portion of the closed session. No report was expected following
the closed session.
