Redlands Daily Facts Steven Church, The Sun ABSENT Nona Minutes of the regular meeting of January 17. 1895, were approved as submitted. NEW BUSINESS Set-Aside Funds - Nestor Nazorio, Housing Coordinotur, reported o request was received on January 10. 1995, for $119,000.00 in set-aside funds for the Redlands Senior Housing expansion. The proposed project is acUuognt to the Coao de la Vista structure developed in 1989. The American Baptist Homes of the West is proposing to purchase an adjacent parcel and develop 40 units. Representing American Baptist Homes of the VVaai were Bob Bo|eey and K88[QGnet VVeitkGDlp who were confident in their ability to obtain funding in the future and urged Agency members to approve to request to purchase the p@[Ce| from the City Of Redlands. yW[. Cunningham moved to approve this request for Redevelopment Agency low-to-moderate housing set-aside funds in the amount of $119,000.00 for the Casa de |a Vista's expanaion, subject to development assistant guidelines and standard redevelopment conditions. Assignment of Loan Agreement and Promissory Note - On July 2, 1991. the Redevelopment Agency and the House of Neighborly Service executed a loan agreement and promissory nO[8 for the construction, rehabilitation and maintenance of shelter facility at 012 Lawton Street (Project Hume Again). The Redevelopment Agency loaned the House of Neighborly Service o num of $180'000.00' amortized over fifteen yeGng, with the Sdpu|GUOO that the organization operate a homeless program. On August 23, 1994. the House of Neighborly Service and the Family Service Association merged. The Family Service AnnnnioUon has onnunned all debt. liabilities and trust obligations formerly incurred bythe House OfNeighborly Service. yW[. Cunningham moved Redevelopment Agency February 7. 1005 Page to approve the assignment of the loan agreement and promissory note from the House ofNeighborly Service tothe Family Service Association; directed staff to prepare the requisite legal documents; and authorized the Chairman and Secretary to sign the documents. PUBLIC HEARING Sale of Redevelopment Agency-Owned Property - A joint public hearing with the City Council of the City of Redlands was continued to this time and place to consider the ao|e of real property known as the Civic Center located at 35 Cajon Street tothe City ofRedlands. Motion seconded byMr. Foster and carried unanimously.
