PRESENT Swen Larson, Chairman Jim Foster, Vice Chairman William E. Cunningham, Member Gilberto Gil, Member Pat Gilbreath, Member Gary M. Luebbers, Executive Director Daniel J. McHugh, Agency Attorney Lorrie Poyzer, Agency Secretary Ted Thomaidis, Redlands Daily Facts Steven Church, The Sun ABSENT None Minutes of the regular meeting of May 2, 1995, and the adjourned regular meeting of May 9, 1995, were approved as submitted. NEW BUSINESS Mr. Foster left the Chambers due to a possible conflict of interest and did not participate in the discussion on the following two matters: Set-Aside Funds - Housing Authority_ - The Housing Authority of the County of San Bernardino requested $40,000.00 of the City's Redevelopment Agency set-aside funds to assist with the rehabilitation of a four-plex apartment located at 1027 Lombard Drive. The Housing Authority purchased this property, which was in a state of severe neglect and decay, and will maintain, monitor and manage it. Mr. Cunningham moved to authorize $40,000.00 of the Redevelopment Agency set-aside funds to the Housing authority of the County of San Bernardino for the rehabilitation of multi-unit properties located at 1027 Lombard Drive. Motion seconded by Mr. Gil and carried by AYE votes of all present. Set-Aside Funds - Housing Partners I, Inc. - Housing Partners I, Incorporated, a certified Community Development Housing Organization requested Redevelopment set-aside funds to assist in the final rehabilitation phase of an eight-unit property located on Brockton Avenue. Housing Partners I, Inc. purchased these units in a state of neglect and in need of rehabilitation. The units will be occupied and rented to very-low and low-income residents. The eight units will be managed and monitored by Housing Partners I, Inc. Mr. John McGrath, Executive Director of the County Housing Authority was present and answered questions. Mr. Cunningham moved to allocate $17,000.00 of the Redevelopment Agency set-aside funds to Housing Partners I, Inc. for the Redevelopment Agency May 16, 1995 Page 1 rehabilitation of an eight-unit property located on Brockton Avenue. Motion seconded by Mrs. Gilbreath and carried by AYE votes of all present. CLOSED SESSION The following matter which arose subsequent to the agenda being posted was unanimously added to the agenda as a closed session item on motion of Mr. Foster, seconded by Mr. Gil: (a) Conference with real property negotiator Property: 301 Third Street, 325 North Eureka Street, and 324 Oriental Avenue Negotiating parties: Marjie Pettus and Tom Brand Under negotiation: Cancellation of escrow The Redevelopment Agency meeting recessed at 3:31 P.M. to a closed session.
