The minutes of the regular meeting of May 20, 1997, were unanimously
approved as submitted on motion of Mrs. Gilbreath, seconded by Mr. Gil.
NEW BUSINESS
Assignment of Lease Agreement - Krikorian Premiere Theatres - Due to a
possible conflict of interest, Mr. Larson abstained from this discussion, and
Vice Chairman Gilbreath conducted the meeting. Agency Attorney McHugh
explained that a request has been received from Krikorian Premiere Theatres
requesting that the Agency consent to Krikorian's assignment of its lease
agreement with the Agency to Showprop Redlands, LLC. As noted by Mr.
Krikorian, the proposed assignment of the lease may occur without the
Agency's consent. However, as a courtesy, Mr. Krikorian has requested the
Agency consider the assignment and execute the document giving its approval
of the same. Mr. Cunningham moved to approve the assignment agreement
and authorize execution of the document. Motion seconded by Mr. Gil and
carried by AYE votes of all present with Mr. Larson having abstained.
JOINT MEETING - REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY AND CITY COUNCIL
Resolution No. 254 - Great Neighborhoods Program - Human Services Director
Pettus reported that staff has qualified two additional participants in the Great
Neighborhoods Program. The participants are requesting assistance with
exterior painting and/or electrical upgrade. Mr. Gil moved to adopt Resolution
No. 254, a resolution of the Board of Directors of the Redevelopment Agency of
the City of Redlands authorizing the use of low- and moderate-income housing
funds outside the Redlands Project Area, and authorized participant
agreements for the Great Neighborhoods Program between the
Redevelopment Agency and Julia Sepulveda and Frank Espinoza. Motion
