PRESENT Pat Gilbreath, Chairman Gary George, Vice Chairman John L. Freedman, Member Susan Peppier, Member Karl N. "Kasey" Haws, Member Daniel J. McHugh, Agency Attorney Michael Reynolds, Agency Treasurer Lorrie Poyzer, Agency Secretary ABSENT None The minutes of the regular meeting of July 5, 2000, were unanimously approved as submitted on motion of Mr. Freedman, seconded by Mr. Haws. NEW BUSINESS Neighborhood Initiative Program - Police Chief Bueermann explained the Housing Bureau has been working with San Bernardino County on the implementation of the Neighborhood Initiative Program. The initial phase of the program began on Herald Street and included residential rehabilitations, street improvements and a pending acquisition. Staff has contacted all of the property owners on Herald Street and is in the process of enrolling participants. It is now time to establish the Phase 2 work area to expand program efforts. Phase 2 will consist of properties located on Sixth Street and Tribune Street between Lugonia and Brockton Avenues. In addition, staff proposes to move the westerly Neighborhood Initiative Program boundary to Ohio Street. This will enable staff to work cooperatively with the Boys and Girls Club of Redlands and other agencies to expand service facilities within the target area. Mr. Haws moved to approve the expansion of the Neighborhood Initiative Program's western boundary to Ohio Street, and establish the Phase 2 work area as Sixth Street and Tribune Street between Lugonia and Brockton Avenues. Motion seconded by Mrs. Peppier and carried unanimously. ADJOURNMENT There being no further business, the Board of Directors' meeting of the Redevelopment Agency adjourned at 3:55 P.M.
