PRESENT Pete Aguilar, Chairman Paul Foster, Vice Chairman Jon Harrison, Boardmember Jerry Bean, Boardmember Bob Gardner, Boardmember ABSENT None STAFF N. Enrique Martinez, Executive Director; Daniel J. McHugh, Agency Attorney; Sam Irwin, Agency Secretary; Tina Kundig, Finance Director/Agency Treasurer; and Oscar Orci, Redevelopment Agency Director Chairman Aguilar called the meeting to order at 5:02 P.M. and offered an opportunity to anyone who wished to make public comment on the items to be discussed in closed session. PUBLIC COMMENTS Sale of MOD Packing House - Several members of the Redlands Conservancy, Judith Hunt of the Historic and Scenic Preservation Commission, and other residents voiced opposition to the demolition of the Mutual Orange Distributors (MOD) packing house. Nelda Stuck, of the Redlands Historical Museum Association, read from a letter from Clara Mae Clem offering to buy the MOD building and donate it for use as the museum. Peter Lehmann, of Krikorian Theatres, expressed support for the sale of the property to Showprop Redlands, LLC. CLOSED SESSION The meeting was adjourned to a closed session to discuss the following: 1. Conference with real property negotiator—Government Code §54956.8 Properties: APNs 0169-281-47 thru -50 (330 North Third St) Agency negotiators: N. Enrique Martinez, Oscar Orci Negotiating party: Bob Clark as representative of the owners of the Mitten Building Under negotiation: Terms and price for offer to purchase Agency property 2. CLOSED SESSION REPORT Agency Attorney McHugh announced there was benoreportable action taken during the closed session. Mr. Bean recused himself from the closed session due 10his business relations with GhOvvpnopRedlands. PUBLIC COMMENTS Traffic Analysis - Steve Rogers observed the agwgna| rail transportation projects in varied stages of development in the SonBernardino-Red lands area and proposed the need for @noverarching traffic analysis Ofthe area. CONSENT CALENDAR Minutes - On nnOUOn of Mr. Foster, seconded by Mr. Gardner, the minutes Of the regular meeting OfMay 3. 2U11were approved @nsubmitted. Gate Construction - (]n motion from Mr. Foatgr, seconded by Mr. Gardner, the Board unanimously approved 8Grant Agreement between the Redevelopment Agency and Timothy Beet and Greg Beet on behalf ofthe Best Trust, owners of Rose Garden Apartmgnta, and an appropriation of $14.300 from the Agency's |Ovv and rnoden8[8 income housing funds. for the construction of an entry gate to the property |Oo@tHd at 400 Church Street. In consideration of the Agency's providing the Gront, the owners have agreed to restrict one unit of the building as affordable housing for persons of low income, as defined in the California ||88|[h and Safety Code, for period Of 10 years.
