1965 , the following recommendation was submitted for Council consid-
eration:
-ution Pursuant to Article 676 , Section 676 . 8 of the Redlands
2473 Traffic Ordinance :
'fie To establish a yield sign on Grove Street to require
northbound and southbound 'vehicles to yield, right-of-way
at railroad crossing.
On motion of Councilman Wagner, seconded by Councilman Martinez ,
Resolution No . 2473 , amending the Traffic Ordinance , as, above recom-
mended, was adopted by the City Council.
--CMMISSION'-'RECOIDENDATIONS
As considered by the City Council at a regular meeting thereof held
September 7 , 1965 at 3: 00 P-M.
1 . R.P. C . No. 252 - Amendment No . 63 to Ordinance Nb. 1000
That R.P.C . 252 - amending Zoning Ordinance No. 1000 - a complete re-
vision of Section 16. 00, R-S Suburban Residential District be
approved, also amending Section 16 . 20 G, "Side Yard, " to require
a. five ( 5) and ten ( 10) foot side setback and utilizing the ex-
ception provisions proposed for the R-A and R-E zones . On nio-
tion of Councilman Wagner, seconded by Councilman Cummings , R.P. C.
No. 252 was approved and Ordinance No. 1302 , an ordinance of the
City of Redlands , Amendment No . 63 to Zoning Ordinance No . 1000,
was presented, and laid over under the rules with public hearing
thereon set for September 21 , 1965.
2. Lot Split No . 361 - Edward C. Klein
That the request of Edward C. Klein for permission to split prop-
ertv located on the southeast corner of Henrietta. and Ridge
Streets - Lot Split No. 361 - be approved subject to the recom-
mendations of all departments as contained in Planning Commission
minutes dated August 24 , 1965, adding thereto Engineering Depart-
ment recommendation No. 6 : To install standard sidewalks on all
streets , On motion of Councilman Wagner, seconded by Councilman
Martinez , the recommendation of the Planning Commission was
adopted by the City Council,
3. Lot Split No . 362 - A. B. Rezendes
That the request of A. B. I-Zezendes for permission to split prop-
erty located at 226 East Cypress Avenue - Lot Split No . 362 - be
approved subject to the recommendations of all departments as
contained in Planning Commission minutes dated August 24 , 1965.
On motion of Councilman Wagner, seconded 'by Councilman. Martinez ,
the recommendation of the Planning Commission was adopted by
the City Council .
4 . Lot Split No. 363 - A. M. Taylor
That the request of A. M. Taylor for permission to split property
located on the southeast corner of Crescent Avenue and Crown
Street - Lot Split No . 363 - be approved subject to the recom-
mendations of all departments as contained in Planning Commission
minutes dated August 24, 1965, adding thereto Engineering Depart-
ment recommendation No. 7 : To install standard sidewalks on both
streets . On motion of Councilman Cummings , seconded by Council-
man Wagner, the recommendation of the Planning Commission was
adopted by the City Council.
5. Lot Split No , 350 - 17. M. Billick - Final Al2j2roval
All provisions as contained in Council minutes dated September
1 , 1964 having been complied with, it is the recommendation of
the Planning Department that final approval be given for Lot
Councilman Wagner, seconded by Councilman Cummings , the recoml:-7y
mendation of the Advisory Committee was adopted by the City
Cofincil.
2 . That the request of A. M. Taylor for permission to sign the lm
provement Ordinance Agreement in lieu of the installation of
curb, gutter and sidewalk on Crown Street as per lot split No.
363 for property located on the southeast corner of Crown Stre
and Crescent Avenue be approved for the reason that installati
of these improvements would necessitate the removal of a tree
the corner - these improvements to be waived until such time a
the corner lot is built on. On motion of Councilman Cummings ,
seconded by Councilman Wagner, the recommendation of the Advis
Committee was adopted by the City Council.

Resolution No . 2474, a resolution of the City of Redlands , adopting a

Director of Public Works Shone reported on the meeting between City
representatives and. members of the Zone 3 Flood. Control District .

On. motion. of Councilman Wagner, seconded by Councilman Martinez , an
agreement between the City and W. E. and J . B. Brown concerning right .
