the reasons outlined by the Planning Director in the minutes
the Planning Commission, dated September 28 , 1965 , subject to
the requirements of all departments as outlined in those min-
utes and provided that the flood control pr9blems can be re-,
solved to the satisfaction of the Department of Public Works.
Before Council consideration of the Planning Commission recom
mendation on this permit , Mayor Burroughs introduced Mr. W. A
Sidler of the County Flood Control District , who described th�
studies being made by the District on the Zanja area 6nd the
fiedlands Boulevard channel .
Mr. Sidler believes the District will be able tu make a deter
mination concerning the future Zanja channel within about two
weeks ; he a1su offered to discuss informally with the Public
Works Department the present existing Zanja problems . Attorn,

Councilman Uartzell announced that the San Oernardino Chamber of Com

merce will invite every mayor and councilman in the County to lunch K
