of the Planning Commission was adopted by the City Council.
3 . Lot Split No. 364 - W. C. Miles
That the request of W. C. Miles for permission to split proper
located on the west side of Alabama Street, approximately 150
feet north of Redlands Boulevard - Lot Split No. 364 - be ap-
proved subject to the recommendations of all departments as
contained in Planning Commission minutes dated October 26, 196
Councilman Wagner moved that this recommendation be adopted wi
the additional provision that the existing sign which is at
present on the most northern corner of parcel "B" be allowed t
exist for the remaining port6orr of the lease, and that the own
of parcel "B" grana to the 1"sor an easement for the mainten-
ance of said sign in its present location. Motion seconded by
Councilman Cummings and carried.
4 . Home Occupation Permit No. 92 - Rebecca Amundson
That the request of Rebecca Amundson for a Home Occupation Per
mit to style, block, set and dye wigs in her home at 500 Terra
cina Boulevard be denied as there appears to be little differ-
ence between this use and a beauty parlor which is not permitt
by commission policy. On motion of Councilman Cummings, recon
by Councilman Hartzell, this recommendation of the Planning Co
mission was adopted.
5 • Lot Split No. 361 Edward C. Klein - Final Approval
All provisions as contained in Council minutes dated September
7 , 1965, having been complied with, it is the recommendation o
the Planning Dep ttment that final approval be given for Lot
Split No. 361 . On motion of Councilman Cunnings, seconded by
Councilman Hartzell, the recommendation of the Planning Depart
ment was adopted by the City Council.
6. Tract No. 7125 - Frank Martin Final Approval
All provisions as contained in Council minutes dated November
5, 1965, having been complied with, it is the recommendation c
the Planning Department that final approval be given Tract No.
7125 . On motion of Councilman Hartzell , seconded by Councilma
Wagner, the recommendation of the Planning Department was adoF
by the City Council .
ADVISORY COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATIONS - Ordinance No . 1193 - as considered by the
Council at a regular meeting thereof on October 5, 1965.
At this time it is the recommendation of the Advisory Committe
that the request of Lewis McKee for permission to sign the Im-
provement Ordinance Agreement in lieu of installation of curb
and gutter as required in Tract No. 4598 for property located
the south side of Elizabeth Street between Dwight and Halsey
Streets be denied for the reason that the curb line for the
street has been determined as per the general plan, and the re
of this block has been improved with standard.. curbing. On mot
of Councilman Cummings, seconded by Councilman Hartzell, this
recommendation of the Advisory Committee was adopted by the Ci
Council, with the added reason that the street is presently be
Ing eroded due to the faulty gutter.
TRAFFIC COMMISSION RECOMMENDATIONS
At a regular meeting of the Traffic Commission held October 21
the following recommendations were submitted for Council consi
tion:
Resolution Pursuant to Article 676, Section 676. 8 of the Redlands
No. 2486 Traffic Ordinance :
To permit the removal of a loading zone on the south side
of Vine Street from a point approximately 1001 east of the
center line of Cajon Street to a point 1291 east.
Pursuant to Article 678, Section 678. 1 (A) and 678. 2 of the
Redlands Traffic Ordinance :
To establish a loading zone on the south side of Vine
Street from a point approximately 1201 east of the center
line of Cajon Street to a point approximately 1441 of the
center line of Cajon Street.
Pursuant to Article 677, Section 677 . 9 (B) of the Redlands
Traffic Ordinance and Article 621 , Section 6211 of the
Meter Ordinance :
To permit the removal of a twelve ( 12 ) minute parking
limit on the south side of Vine Street from a point ap-
proximately 1841 east of the center line of Cajon Street
to a point 2061 east .
Pursuant to Article 677 , Section 677 . 9(A) of the Redlands
Traffic Ordinance and Article 621 , Section 6211 of the
Meter Ordinance :
To establish a twelve ( 12 ) minute parking limit on south
side of Vine Street from a point approximately 1441 east
of center line of Cajon Street to a point 1641 east of
center line of Cajon Street .
Resolution No. 2486, a resolution of the City of Redlands amending
the Traffic Ordinance as above recommended, presented and adopted on
motion of Councilman Wagner, seconded by Councilman Martinez .
The Council congratulated Police Chief Bowen and Fire Chief Budd and
their department members on "a job well done" in protecting the pub-
lic during recent days, including Halloween.
,AGER City Manager Merritt presented Resolution No . 2487, a resolution of
-ion the City of Redlands declaring the intention of the City to initi-
187 ate on its own motion proceedings to annex approximately 224 acres
; re of uninhabited land designated as Annexation District No. 29
;ion (Boullioun Property) . On motion of Councilman Wagner, seconded by

Councilman Martinez , this resolution was adopted by the City Council .
Resolution No. 2488, a resolution of the City of Redlands authorizinE
Jon the purchase, through the State of California Department of General
X88 Services, of one emergency Fire Department vehicle, adopted on motiot
of Councilman Wagner, seconded by Councilman Cummings .
At this time, on recommendation of Director of Public Works Shone,
the Council formally accepted the Sewage Treatment Plant on the fol-11 ,
lowing motion by Councilman Cummings : "Since the contractor has

r-e completed the construction of the sewage treatment plant and all
sent work has met the requirements of the consulting engineeri the City
of Redlands, and the Federal Government , I move that the City of Red-
lands accept the plant as complete and authorize final payment of al
