UV second reading and adopted on motion of Councilman Cummings , seconded ode by Councilman Martinez , with the following roll call vote : AYES : Councilmen Martinez , flartzell, Cummings NOES : None ABSENT: Mayor Burroughs, Councilman Wagner At the time of the closing of a portion of Fifth Street for the Red- lands Plaza Mall , the City reserved easements for utility maintenance. laim As there are no utilities now in place, the City -wishes to relinquish to gate this easement and to grant easement to Westgate-California Realty for Ity eaves , stairways and bay windows which project out over public prop- erty. On motion of Councilman Martinez , seconded by Councilman Cum- mings, this Quitclaim Deed was approved by the City Council and the Vice-Mayor and City Clerk authorized to execute in behalf of the City. The Advisory Committee on Ordinance No . 1193 made the following recom- mendation to the Council : ory That the request of the La-Z-Boy Chair Company for permission to sign ttee the Improvement ordinance agreement in lieu of installation of curb, Boy gutter and sidewalk on State Street , for property located on the north- r west corner of State and Tennessee be approved for the reason that the cross-section to which State Street will be improved in the future has not yet been determined . On motion of Councilman Cummings, secon- ded by Councilman Martinez , the recommendation of the Advisory Commit- tee was adopted by the City Council . The outfall sewer, recently completed, was formally accepted on the tante following motion by Councilman Martinez , seconded by Councilman Cum- all mings : "Since the contractor has completed the construction of the er outfall sewer and all work has met the requirements of the consulting engineer, the City of Redlands and the Federal Government , I move thai the City of Redlands accept the outfall sewer as complete and authorise final payment of all bills. " Mr. Wagner read a notice of the franchise payment in the amount of chise $107-32 received from the Southern Pacific Company in payment for the ment Pacific Electric Railway trackage in the City of Redlands from September 21 , 1964 to August 12 , 1965 . No further business demanding attention at this time , on motion, the Council adjourned to an adjourned regular meeting, to be held in the Council Chambers at 9 :00 A.M. on November 26, 1965 .
