HomeMy WebLinkAbout4700ATTEST RESOLUTION NO. 4700 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS ESTABLISHING TRAFFIC REGULATIONS PURSUANT TO TITLE 10 OF THE REDLANDS MUNICIPAL CODE Pursuant to studies made under authority of Title 10 of the Redlands Municipal Code, and the presentation of information gained in such studies, the City Council hereby finds and determines that traffic conditions and the convenience of the public require that certain regulations are necessary and shall be established, pursuant to Title 10 of the Redlands Municipal Code, and the Traffic Engineer of the City of Redlands is hereby directed to perform such acts as are necessary to accomplish the following SECTION ONE: Pursuant to Section 10.40.090 of the Redlands Municipal Code: 1. Place appropriate signs or curb markings to prohibit stopping, standing or parking of vehicles on the north side of Colton Avenue as follows a. Between Redlands Boulevard and New York Street. b. For a distance of 400 feet east of New York Street. c. For a distance of 300 feet west of Texas Street. 2. Place appropriate signs or curb markings to prohibit stopping, standing, or parking of vehicles on the south side of Colton Avenue as follows a. For a distance of 260 feet west of Tennessee Street b. For a distance of 260 feet east of Tennessee Street c. For a distance of 350 feet east of New York Street. d. For a distance of 160 feet west of Texas Street. SECTION TWO: Pursuant to Section 10.28.020 of the Redlands Municipal Code: 1. Change street striping as follows a. Colton Avenue between Redlands Boulevard and New York Street to add a lane in each direction and a dual left turn lane b. Colton Avenue between New York Street and Texas Street to add an additional lane in each direction.
