No . 256 , amending Zoning Ordinance No . 1000 - addi provisions under Section 50 .00 - Conditional Use Permits - be approved , On motion of Councilman Cummings , seconded by Counc waa Martinez , R .P . C . No . 258 was approved and Ordinance No . 13 Amendment No. 67 to Zoning Ordinance No . 1000 - was presented laid over under the rules with public hearing thereon set for next regular Council meeting, June 7 , 1966 , at 7 : 00 P.M. 2. Street Vacation No , 09 - Laurel Avenue (Road ) chat the vacation and relocation of a portion of Laurel Avenue extending westerly from Terracina Boulevard Street Vacation No 49 - be approved , subject to the requirements of all departmen as stated , and for the reasons stated in Planning Commission minutes , dated May 10 , 1966 , including the name from "Laurel Road" to "Circle Drive . " On motion of Councilman Hartzell , se onded by Councilman CUMMtAgs , this recommendation of the Plann Commission was adopted by the City Council , and Resolution No . 2521 , a resolution of the City of Redlands declaring intention vacate Laurel Avenue, was presented, with public hearing there to be set at a later date . -by 4-171-7a&y) On motion of Councilman Hartzell , seconded by Councilman Cummi Resolution No . 2522 , a resolution of the City of Redlands appr ing the name change from "Laurel Road" to "Circle Drive" was adopted by the City Council . 3 . Commission Review and Approval No , 191 - Shell Oil _Com Lany That the site development plans for the expansion and remodeli of their existing facility located on the northwest corner of Redlands Boulevard and Sixth Street be approved, subject to th findings of the Advisory Committee . Mr. Richard H. Myers , 044 Mountain View Avenue , San Bernardino requested relief from the Advisory Committee recommendation 0-1 dedication for street wideninG be obtained prior to final Clea once of commission review and approval . Following discussion , this matter was tabled to allow Mr. Myers the opportunity to discuss this requirement with his company and the lessor of th property . 11 . Barnett requests final approval on Tract No , 7085 su ject to delivery of bond or letter of credit to cover the bala of the improvements required in Tentative Approval , dated June 1965 , and not presently installed at this time. Following len Council discussion and a presentation by Attorney Dan Smith a� Mr. John Bruckart or the West Redlands Water Company , Counoilm Hartzell made the following motion : "l move approval of reque for final approval of Tract No . 7085 subject to ( 1 ) bond or letter of credit being provided to assure completion of all requirements as stated in Tentative Approval of Tract No. 7085 ( 2 ) execution and delivery of necessary dedication as required under original tract , (3) that no building permit will be issu on the portion occupied by Nest Redlands Water Company lines - Parcels 36 , 37 and 38 , (4 ) subject to receipt from Mr. Barnett of a letter of agreement between him and Mr. Van Mouwerik assu ing the City the final dedication of deed in fee over the Van Mouwerik property in lieu of the easement for this purpose. On motion of Councilman Martinez , seconded by Councilman Hartzell , the recommendation of the Advisory ConimiL- tee as here stated was adopted by the City Council . RY COMMITME RECOMMENDATION - Fire Hydrant and Water Lines 'I'hat the request of Mr. lVilliam Howell for permission to sign an agreement as specified itt :Section ? of Ordinance No . 1288, to participate in water line and fire hydrant iniprovemeut, as Ambulance Street brought complaints , it has been decided to give tempora Service occupancy to the service at _'11 West ColtorL Avenue and refer th New Location to the Planning Commission with respect to the granting of a c Lion-al use permit . Manager Merritt presented the financial feasibility study for pect Park acquisition as follows : 1 . Sale price reconfirmed - 39+ acres , $560, 000. Financial 2. Confirmation from the Regional Director of the Department Feasibility of Housing and Urban Developmetit , San Francisco , as follow Study a . It should be noted that this application can be dropped at any time the City would decide not to proceed. 3 . Verification of citizens ' contrihutions and pledges of fun toward acquisition of the park- as of this bate in the amou of $193 , 535 . il Combining of federal grant of $280 , 000 which should be ver fieri priur to the end of June 1g(-,6 , and cash presently available in the aujount of $193 , 535 leaves a balance yet t be raised to complete the acquisition of $86 , 465 . Manager Merritt reported also that a survey of the 111-acre por t, ori, now known as Prospect Farb,, showed that it would cost be $ 10, 000 acid $1 _5 , 000 to put this area in condi.tion to be used as public park. Mayor Durroughs commended the loyal citizens who have contribu and pledged money to this purchase , Councilman Cummings rioted opinion of the Park Study Cotiimittee 'that Prospect Parh should top priority in the overall park development program.
