The meeting was opened with the pledge of allegiance, followed by the
invocation by Councilman Jack Cummings.
The minutes of the regular meeting of March 7, 1967 were approved as
submitted.
C HEARINGS
This being the time and place set for the public hearing of ordinance
No. 1335, an ordinance of the City of Redlands amending Section 22: 00
- R-3 Multiple Family Residential District (R-3-1250) - Zoning ordi-
nance No. 1000, Mayor Burroughs at this time declared the meeting open
as a public hearing for the purpose of hearing any protest or comment
relative to this ordinance. None being forthcoming, the public hear-
ing was declared closed. The Council discussed Article F - Front
Yard - of Section 20: 20, which relates to setbacks, at great length.

1335 on motion of Councilman Hartzell, seconded by Councilman DeMirjyn,
Ordinance No. 1335 was returned to the staff for further study and
recommendations, with special attention to Brookside, olive and Cajon,
and with projected studies suggested for Center, Fern, Cypress,
Church, Citrus and Redlands Boulevard.
PETITIONS
At this time Mr. Henry Romo of 1380 Monterey Street addressed Council
Split with the request that the original requirement for property owner to

mo sign the improvement agreement for sidewalks as stated in Lot Split
No. 353 be deleted. Following Council discussion, Councilman Hartzell
moved that this request be denied on the ground that this is a stan-
dard call-out under these circumstances, and the requirement would not
be activated unless it would become an integral part of a larger de-
velopment. Motion seconded by Councilman Cummings and carried unan-
imously.
Mr. Leonard Harder, owner of Harder' s Friendly Corner, at Orange and
Redlands Boulevard, requested that a former City ordinance which per-
hard mitted minors between sixteen and eighteen years of age to frequent
rder pool halls if they had written permission of their parents, be re-
enacted. Following consideration, this matter was referred to the
staff for study and a report.

ADVISORY COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATIONS
As considered by the City Council at a regular meeting thereof I

Councilman Cummings read a letter from Harold Zenz, Secretary ol

fication signs proposed for the City and also a map to be given those
hist travelers contacted at the Tourist Information Centers. The cost of

ture of funds for those signs that would be necessary to get tourists
to the Information Centers from the freeway; with the remainder of the
signs to be held in abeyance and reviewed at budget session. Motion
seconded by Councilman DeMirjyn and carried.

on motion of Councilman DeMirjyn, seconded by Councilman Martinez, it
was unanimously voted to fly the American flag above City Hall at half
staff on the day of burial of any Redlands citizen who loses his life
on active duty in Vietnam. Mr. Erwin Hein, Director of Veterans Af-
fairs, has volunteered to be responsible for arranging this.

Subdivision City Council of the City of Redlands hereby urges the San Bernar(
Ordinance County Board of Supervisors to adopt the 'Land Division Ordinance
March 28, 1967 - reaffirming a recommendation for adoption as co3
in Resolution No. 2457, adopted by said Council on June 1, 1965.
Following discussion, the Council unanimously agreed to join othi
Inland cities in a proposed letter to the City of San Bernardino reques�
Center that a portion of sales tax monies generated by the Inland Cente:
