TRAFFIC COMMISSION RECOMMENDATIONS
At the regular meeting of the "Traffic Commission held on. December
1967, the following recommendations were submitted to the Council
consideration:
SECTION ONE: Pursuant to Article 676, Section 676. 1 and. 676
the Redlands Traffic Ordinance:
To establish a "Stop" sign on Sixth Street to stop northbo n
southbound vehicles at the intersection of State Street .
SECTION 'TWO: Pursuant to Article 676, Section 676. 1 and 676
the Redlands "Traffic Ordinance:
To establish a "Stop" sign on State Street to stop eastbound

southbound vehicles at the intersection of State Street.

Councilman DeeMirjyn had received notification of the annual SCAG meet-
incl at the, Statler-Hilton on Friday, February 16 . He informed Council..
that he expects to attend the meeting.
ESI-IED BUSINESS
Resolutions 2625, 2626 and 2627, resolutions of intent to vacate certain
streets, originally scheduled for presentation at tiais meeting, have
been tabled to the meeting of January 1-6.

Manager Merritt brought to Council. attention a proposed lease agreement
:between the City and the County for use of the dump at California Street.
ae With this agreement.., the dump will- be under lease to the County for
Bement $1, 200 quarterly.
qty On motion of Councilman Cummings, seconded by Councilman DeMirr_j yn,
Council unanimously approved the lease agreement between the City of
Redlands and the County of San Bernardino for use of the clump, with the
Mayor authorized to sign for the City, subject to approval by the Board
of Supervisors .
al.ution Resolution No. 2651, a resolution of the City of Redlands amending
2651 Resolution No. 2603 as relates to City Attorney, City Manager, General
_ary Administration and Park, Departments, was adopted by the Council on
motion of Councilman Hartzell, seconded by Councilman De-Mi_rj°yn.
Manager Merritt presented a request from the fire Department for budget
let addition to cover purchase of a Chevrolet sedan to replace the car
_tion which is assigned to Chief Ijuisjen. This car is in need of. major res--
pairs , estimated at $455, to keep it running. On motion of Councilman

Hartzell, seconded by Councilman DeMi.rjyn, Council_ unanimously approved
rtrncent a budget addition from General Fund Budget Surplus, in the amount of
$1550, to cover purchase of a new automobile for the Fire Departme"ent.
Bills and salaries were ordered paid as approved by the Finance Com-
mittee.
No further business demanding attention at this time, can motion, the
Council adjourned at 7: 50 P.M.
Next regular meeting, January 16, 1965.
