Minutes of the regular meeting of June 18, 1968 were approved as sub- mitted. TITIONSm Mr. F. A. Artri.p of 709 West Pioneer Avenue addressed Council, cor:c.werni nc a problem of noisy music in his neighborhood and requested adoption of a city ordinance to give the police power to arrest noisemakers . City Attorney Taylor explained to Mr.. Arrtrip the section of the Penal_ Code lerr which provides for prosecution by the County District Attorney in, cases of disturbance of the peace. This area of the code specifically applies casi.c to loud noises which are objectionable. Mr . Taylor further explained that the City has no ordinances pertaining to this , and that it wot. ld be necessary to bring a civil action, which coul..d be done by :Mr. Artrip filinq a complaint and i.dentifv nq those making the disturbance.
