The minutes of the adjourned regular meetings of October 22 and October 30, 1968 were approved as submitted. Ordinance No . 1.:379, an ordinance amending `the sign code, Ordinance No. aance 1.342 of the City of Redlands, was considered by Council at this time. 1279 Following discussion and the answering of questions by Director of ins Building and Safety Mitchell, Ordinance No . 1379 was unanimous.1y adopted ' by the Council, with waiver of reading in full, on motion of Councilman Knudsen, seconded by Councilman DeMirjyn. HEARINGS This being the time and place advertised for public hearing on Ordinance aance No. 1.377, an ordinance of. the City of Redlands approving lone Change No. 1377 1.97, Mayor. Burroughs at this time declared the meeting open as a public aange hearing of any protest or comment relative to the ordinance. None being forthcoming, the public hearing was declared closed and. It was pointed out that this ordinance facilitates removal of abandoned vehicles without the pink slips . Councilman. Manager .Merritt, reported that following use of the parking lot for foot- ball panties, it is the opinion of the Police Department and the ,Depa.rtment. of Public Works that the extension of Purdue Street which was originally e planned to assist in the removal of traffic from the stadium parking lot t was not needed, therefore, it as the recommendation of the Department of Public Works that Purdue Street not be extended as originally planned. on motion of Council-man Cummings , seconded by Councilman DeMi.r.jyn, this decision was approved by the City Council .
