The meeting was opened with the pledge of allegiance, followed by t
invocation by Reverend H. M. Fink of the First United Methodist Chu
Mayor Burroughs welcomed students from Redlands High School and Cal

HEARINGS
Public hearing on Resolution No. 2724, a resolution of the City Council
of the City of Redlands declaring intention to vacate a portion of
Clifton Court, was advertised for this time and place. Mayor Burroughs
declared the meeting open as a public hearing for comments or questions
relative to the above street closure. None being forthcoming, the pub-
.utions lic hearing was declared closed, and Resolution No. 2729 ordering the

work on this closure, was unanimously adopted on motion of Councilman

Councilman DeMirjyn, seconded by Councilman Knudsen.

As considered by the City Council at a regular meeting thereof held
February 4, 1969 at 3: 00 P.M.

Conditional Use Permit No. 149 - Missionary Alliance Church
That the request of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church for a
Conditional Use Permit in an R-S Zone for construction of a church and
related facilities on property located at the northwest corner of
Cypress Avenue and Nottingham Drive be approved in accordance with the
recommendations of all dtpartments as contained in Planning commission
minutes dated January 28, 1969, and adding Planning Department recommen-
dation No. 8: No vehicular access from Cypress Avenue. , On motion of
Councilman DeMirjyn, seconded by Councilman Knudsen, this recommendation
of the Planning Commission was unanimously adopted by the City Council.
Tentative Map - Tract No. 8060 - Missionary Alliance Church
That the tentative map of Tract No. 8060 located at the northwest corner
of Cypress Avenue and Nottingham Drive, R-S Zone - proposing the rever-
sion to acreage of eight lots contained within Tract No. 7125- be
approved subject to the recommendations of all departments contained in
Planning Commission minutes dated January 28, 1969. on motion of Coun-
cilman DeMirjyn, seconded by Councilman Martinez, the recommendation of
the Planning Commission was adopted by the City Council.
3. Tentative Map - Tract No. 8059 - Surety Savings and Loan
That the tentative map of Tract No. 8059 located at the northwest corner
of Highland Avenue and Judson Street extended - R-S Zone - be approved
subject to the recommendations of all departments as contained in Plan-
ning Commission minutes dated January 28, 1969. On motion of Councilman
DeMirjyn, seconded by Councilman Knudsen, the recommendation of the
Planning Commission was adopted by the City Council.

Authority and the State Department of Aeronautics for their participatio

Manager Merritt reported that the list of property owners to receive
orange grove removal notices is being verified and letters will be sent
out soon..
MTORNEY
City Attorney Taylor presented and gave first reading of the title to
Ordinance No. 1386, an ordinance of the City of Redlands adopting the
Lance revised ordinance Code for the City. After a summary by Mr. Taylor of

;ed the various ordinances that had been compiled into the new ordinance,
unanimous approval. was given to advertising the public hearing on Ordi-
nance go. 1386 for March 4, 1969.
Councilman Cummings commended Mr. Taylor and the staff for their diligent
work on the Code revision.
Council discussed at length the possibility of having a student on the
Park Commission as a voting member. As three councilmen were in favor
of having this individual as a voting member, City Attorney Taylor will
look into its legality and report.
Bills and salaries were ordered paid as approved by the Finance Committee
No further business demanding attention at this time, on motion, the
Council adjourn-ed at 8:40 P.M.
