Mr . William Simader, president of the Senior Citizens Organization

Following discussion, Councilman DeMirjyn outlined an offer by Mr.
Gish, who maintains the local ambulance service, to provide a thrE
months ' trial mini-bus service. This would consist of service by

Street Vacation No. 51 Stanford Street UniversiLy of Redlands
That the request by the University of Redlands for the vacation by the
City of a portion of unimproved Stanford Street, extending from Brockton
Avenue to a paint 625.45 feet north be approved.. On motion of Council_rnan
DeMir yn, seconded by Councilman Knudsen, this recommendation of the
Planning Commission was approved by the City Council, and Resolution No.
2736, a resolution declaring the intention to vacate a portion of Stanford
Street, was presented and adopted with public hearing set for 1. 00 P.M.
on March 1.8, 1969 in the Council Chambers .
R.P.C. No. 306 -- Amendment No. 88 to Ordinance No. 1.000
That P.P.C. No. 306, amending Zoning Ordinance No . 1.000 by adoption of
Section 52. 10, Development. Provisions for Specific Uses, Subsection A,
Automobile Service Stations , be approved. Following lengthy discussion
of the contents of R.P.C. No. 306, Councilman Knudsen took exception to,
and requested that the Planning Commission again consider the minimum lot
width and depth requirements as specified at 125 feet by :1.`0 deet, and
also the requirement that no new :service station be established within
500 feet of any existing services station. The remaining Council members
requested that the Planning Commission look to the effect of the 500 facet
distance between :Mations in the vicinity of freeway interchanges to be
certain that the requirement is realistic in this situation. Plarin.1-ng

MISSION RECOMMENDATIONS
Councilman Knudsen brought the following three notices from the Park Com—
mission-
1 . That the parks in the City of Redlands have historically been naaaaaed
for local citizens who have contributed service directly to the community.
2. Memorials within the city are developed by people who are interested
