The report listed the results of Muni.c;ipal. Airport tionna71ires furnished aircraft owners and, businesses which might be Assessor' s reports can the amount of Property taxes paid by aircraft own- ers . The report stressed the very .r.eal importance of the Redlands Muni- cipal Airport, and urged the Council to continue to ufagrade the facility and publicize the airport location. Mayor Burroughs thanked Mr. Berresford for this comprehensive study and the information compiled for this report . No . 311, a resolution recommending the zone classification for property under consideration for annexation to the City, known as Annexations Nos . 41 and 42, be approved. On motion of Councilman Knudsen;., seconded by Councilman Cummings, R.P.C. No. 311 was approved; ordinance No. :1398, an ordinance amending Ordinance No. 1:1..000 for the City of Redlands Zone Change No., 1.1.3 - was introduced and laid over under the rules, with public hearing set for October_ 21, 1.969 at 7: 00 P.M. On motion of Councilman reMir yn, seconded by Councilman Cummings, the recommendation of the Planning Commission was adopted by the City Council . R.P.C. No. .31.0 - Amendment No. 11. to the..General Plan (This item was tabled from the Council Meeting of August 1.9, 1969) That R.P.C. No. 310, Amendment No. 1.1. to the General Plan - Housing Ele- ment - be approved. Following discussion, on motion of Councilman De- Mirjyn, seconded by Councilman Martine, unanimous approval was given to R.P.C. No . 310 . Resolution No. 2775, a resolution of the City of Redlands for adoption of Amendment No. 11 to the General. Plan, was ap- proved and public hearing on this resolution set for October 2-1., 1969 at: 7. 007 P.M. Tract No 8135 Advanced ;Fomes Com p an _ t anal A rooral All provisions as contained in Council„ minutes dated July 1, 1969 having been complied with, it is the recommendation of the Planning Department that final. approval be given for Tract No. 8135 . on motion of Council- man Knudsen, seconded by Councilman Martinez, the recommendation of the Planning Department was adopted by the: City Council . Following very lengthy discussion, Councilman Cummings moved. state that. Council request. Mr. Lefebvre to present all a°i.-apl.acab:ie neaps and drawings to the staff for study and analysis and recommendation to the Council . Councilman Martinez seconded the motion and each Councilman concurred in the desire, to have this development within .the city _if the differences could be resolved . Motion was unanimously adopted , City Manager Merritt brought notice from the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control of a change of ownership at 25106 Redlands Boulevard for :information purposes only. On motion of Councilman DeMirjyn, seconded by Councilman Knudsen, unani.-- mous approval was given to the waiver of fees for an Interfratern.i_ty Carnival to be held on the old University of Redlands baseball, field at. 'r of the corner of Colon and Judson Streets on October. 1.5 through 19, with vat the understanding that the approval is given subject to compliance with all Police, Health, Disposal and Building and Safety requirements . CATIONS Mayor Burroughs brought an invitation to the Council. to rade in the Junior Chamber of Commerce Christmas parade on Saturday, December 13 at 10: 00 A.M. ED BUSINESS City Manager Merritt brought a report that the problem of noise and con- fusion on the Sage loading dock had been resolved by personal calls made can. those complaining by Mr. E. A. NAGER On motion of Councilman DeMi.rjyn, seconded by Councilman Cummings, unani -4 :meet mous approval was given to the agreement authorizing City participation wi~c with the States Division of Highways in the installation of traffic Sig- 1S nals at the intersection of San Bernardino Avenue and. Orange street, with the Mayor and. City Clerk authorized to sign in behalf of the City. The City' s share of this participation wild.. be .$32, 000. Following approval of this agreement, Mr. . fanny Martinez, present in telae , audience, thanked the Council for their work in. this matter, and pointed out that it was about a. year ago when he originally appealed to Councx:i.l for assistance in obtaining traffic signals at this crossing.
