ati_ve and extended care nursing facilities, medical specialists office
building, medical service shop.; and executive retreat center, on, 11 , 2
acres of property located at the northeast corner of Terracina Boulevard
and Olive ,Avenue, be approved subject to the requirements of all. depart-
ments as contained in Planning Commission minutes dated November 2�, I-961,
and in accordance with the :maps submitted to the Co ai ssi_on . On motion
of Councilman DeMirjyn, seconded by Councilman Knudsen, this recommenda-
tion. of the Planning Commission was unanimously adopted by the City Coun-

Following Council consideration of the Planning Commission ' s statement
that a Type v"L" Long Leri Facility as defined in the ::hate law is not
acceptable in the City of Redlands or in its sphere of influence, Coun-
cilman

the Planning Commission of the City of Redlands and the San Bernardino
County Planning Cormuission, and that a letter be sent to the Board of
Supervisors , with accompanying information supplied by Planrai_nel Director

for Type "f.," Facilities be denied. Motion was seconded. by Councilman
Martinez and carried unanimously.

City Manager Merritt outlined recent State legislation relating V
player-employee relations and presented Resolution No. 2786, a reE

Redlands ProfessionalFirefighters ' Association requested an eater
time for further study. Council discussed the resolution, the mut
advantages of the historically good relationship between the Counc
City employees, and explained that this resolution can be amended
modified in the future. on motion of Councilman Cummings , sec:ondc:
Councilman Martinez, Resolution No. 2786, a resolution of the City
Redlands establishing procedures for administration of employer-en
relations , was unanimously adopted.
