Hein, Redlands Daily Facts Chuck Palmer, San Bernardino Sun None This adjourned Council meeting was scheduled for the purpose of completin� arrangements for the bus service in the city of Redlands . Mr. John Wagner, Administrative Assistant to the City Manager, explained the purpose of this meeting, introduced Mr. Deaton, who will be awarded the franchise to furnish bus service under ordinance No. 1402, and pre- sented this ordinance, which had been given first reading of the title at the regular Council meeting on December 2, 1969. Following discussion of the details of the bus service, on motion of Councilman DeMirjyn, seconded by Councilman Cummings, Ordinance No. 1402, ids an ordinance of the City Council granting a bus franchise within the city, was adopted, with waiver of reading in full, and correction of the typo- unanimously adopted on motion of Councilman Cummings, seconded by C man Knudsen. Resolution No. 2789, a resolution of the City Council establishing to be traveled by the passenger carrying vehicle (bus) within the c was also unanimously adopted on motion of Councilman Cummings, sect by Councilman Martinez. Mr . Wagner stated that the service would be available between 9: 15 and 6: 15 P.M. sic days per week (Sunday excluded) , with the bus tra six complete loops of the orange (north) route and five trips on tr (south) route, with adult fare for one route being $. 25. He reques that the color, possibly green with an orange strip, similar to the of the kiosks, and location df downtown bus stops be arranged by tI Managerl-B office. Council concurred in this.
