The meeting was opened with the pledge of allegiance, followed by the
invocation by payor hack B. Cummings .
This adjourned regular meeting of the City Council was held for the
purpose of permitting senior students of Redlands high School to take
over functions of the various departments of the City government as #i
part of Civic: Weeks Seated at the Council table to represent the
legislative and administrative officers of the City were.

Mayor Cunnings welcomed the young peoplep resent for Civic Day and con
gratulated there on their election to various governmental offices . Ile
repeated the story that Edward 'Taylor had been Acting City Attorney in
his senior year and had gone can to be Redlands City Attorney in fact.
Mr. Cummings extended a special welcome to Gustavo Muscoso, an exchanger
student from Ecuador, stating that lie holds the record of being the
ordinanceing of the title in full, on motion of Councilman. Miller, second
