and Mr . Jrnnai, and introduced the Council, City Attorney, City
Manager and members of the press .
Mayor Cumm .ngs presented Vice Mayor Kasai with a framed proclam
of Nino Week:, reaffirming the desire for world peace. The Ja.pa
visitors then presented the City with a Konica Q.T.A. Camera, o
the third to enter the United Mates, a Fuji Electric tape reco
and a Lord. King clock:, and numerous small gifts . Each guest re
a key to the City from Mayor Cummings . Student art work was al

presented,
Dr . Yasuyuki Owada of Johnston College assisted with the interp
during the proceedings .

Minutes were recorded by Councilman Sam Sewall.
Tea, coffee and refreshments were served by the Junior Women of
Contemporary Club.
The meeting adjourned at 9.06 A.M. Next regular meeting, April
1972.
