T Jack B. Cummings, Mayor Charles G. DeMixjyn, Vice Mayor Chresten M. Knudsen, Councilman Ellsworth E. Miller, Councilman Sam S . Sewall, Councilman R. P. Merritt, Jr. , City Manager Edward F. Taylor, City Attorney Erwin S . Hein, Redlands Daily Facts and Gensaku Kino, Mr. Kazuhiko Hanagata, Officer in charge of Hi Sister City program, Mr. and Mrs. Shichiro Wada, Mi . 'Muga Akiyan Mr. Buhei Ito, Mr . Yasushi Hijikata, Mr. Tokuyoshi Takada, Mr . 9 Amano, Mrs. Mitsuko Furuya, Mrs. Raku Kumegawa, Mrs . Kazue Imams: and Mr. Jinnai, and introduced the Council, City Attorney, City Manager and members of the press . Mayor Cummings presented Vice Mayor Kasai with a framed proclama of Hino Week, reaffirming the desire for world peace. The Japar visitors then presented the City with a Konica F.T.A. Camera, or the third to enter the United States, a Fuji Electric tape recoz and a Lord King clock, and numerous small gifts . Each guest rec a key to the City from Mayor Cummings . Student art work was alE presented. Dr . Yasuyuki ©walla of Johnston College assisted with the interpi during the proceedings . Minutes were recorded by Councilman Sam Sewall. Tea, coffee and refreshments were served by the Junior Women of Contemporary Club. The meeting adjourned at 9:06 A.M. Next regular meeting, April 1972.
