MINUTES of an adjourned regular meeting of the City Council, City of Re,
held in the Council Chambers, Safety Mall, 212 Brookside Avenue
July 7, 1972 at 1 : 00 R.M.

This adjourned regular meeting of the City Council was called f�

purpose of receiving a report from Mr. Gail Lynch of John Carol
i engineers, whose firm is in the process of completing the plans
specifications for the reconstruction of the sewer treatment pl.
Mr. Lynch reports that recently completed percolation tests can
cern that the proposed percolation, site of 40 acres may not be

The following alternative measures are recommended by John Caro
Engineers in order to insure that discharge requirements can be

1 . Do not provide a percolation area for disposal, and design
complete river discharge. :Provide additional tertiary trea

2. Construct the proposed percolation area, and purchase addit
land on the bluff for additional percolation area. Land pu
would not be eligible for grant participation.

Council concurred in the decision to authorize the procedure re
ded in Alternate 2, with the request that Alternate 3 be bid in
to determine the cost of Alternate 3 . This motion of Councilma
Knudsen, seconded by Councilman Miller, was unanimously adopted
