Council approved the submittal of applications for two projects under
the Public Works Employment Act by the following motion made by
Councilman Knudsen:
"I move approval for the filing of applications under the
Public Works Employment Act, including assurances and certi-
fication that the City as applicant shall comply with the
regulations , policies, guidelines, and requirements , includ-
ing Office of Management and Budget Circular A-96 and
hent Federal Management Circular 74-4 and 74-7, as they relate
to the application, acceptance, and use of Federal funds
for this federally assisted project, and that Mr. W. C.
Schindler, Community Development Director, is identified as
the official representative of the City, for the following
projects :
"l . Surfacing of Redlands Boulevard from Alabama to Ford
Streets .
"2. Improvement of City Maintenance Yard. "
This motion was seconded by Councilwoman Grace and carried unanimously.
A claim against the City, filed by Lucas Gonzales was denied in routine
manner on motion of Councilman Miller, seconded by Councilman Elliott,
and referred to the City ' s insurance carrier .
B On motion of Councilman Knudsen, seconded by Councilwoman Grace,
its transfer of five Option B Water Contracts was unanimously approved.
There being no further business , the Council adjourned, on motion, at
2 :15 P.M.
