The meeting was opened with the pledge of allegiance. The regular meeting
of the City Council on April 20, 1982, was adjourned to this time and 1

place in order to hold this meeting for the purpose of permitting Redlands `,
Civics
Day Nigh School students to take over the functions of the various elected
officials and department heads of the city government as a participation
?,{ in Civics Day. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Beth Koch.

seconded by Councilman DeMirjyn.
COMMUNICATIONS
On motion of Councilman Martinez, seconded by Councilman DeMirjyn, the ° e
Franchise Southern California Gas Company franchise payment in the amount of
Paymenps $176,001°44, and the Southern California Edison Company franchise payment
in the amount of $71,831.02 were accepted b the Cit Council.
