By AYE votes of all present Council authorized the requirement for an Avigation Easement for housing development within one mile of the 65 CNEL (Community Noise Equivalent Level) for the Redlands Municipal {ss k Airport. Motion carried by AYE votes of all present. Ordinance Following an explanation by Acting Community Servicesty No. 2026 Director Sara Sutkin, Ordinance No. 2026, an ordinance amending the Redlands Municipal Code pertaining to Parks, �. 5%k Student Recreation, and Traffic Commissions, was given it second �) r Commissioners reading of the title by Deputy City Clerk Sanchez, and ons motion of Councilmember DeMirjyn, seconded by , Councilmember Johnson, further reading of the ordinance text was unanimously waived. Presentation The Student Commissioners were then presented with i+ Commissioners pins by Mayor Pro Tem Wormser. Resolution Following an explanation by Acting Police Chief Peter No. 4356 Koss, Resolution No. 4356, a resolution of the City ��� Council of the City of Redlands, authorizing atop 1 �+, Traffic signs pursuant to Section 10.36.030 of the Redlands Municipal Code on Glenwood Drive at Buena Vista Street as recommended by the Traffic Commission, was adopted by AYE votes of all present. sr Maintenance A report was presented by Acting City Engineer Ben from of �C} Contracts maintenance contracts for trench patching, repair of Report sidewalks and street striping being administered by the Engineering Services Department. The reports detailed all Q,', contract schedules and provided a summary of the progress +-� payment schedule. Acting Street Maintenance Superintendent ', + LaRee Jacinto further updated Council on the status of these various contracts. + Clement, Through the State Grant Program the City of Redlands � ��, School Lighting previously was awarded the sum of $24,171 for I�U , lighting improvements for Texonia Park. However, as explained by Acting Recreation Superintendent Stephanie p+3 Kessler, staff and the Recreation Commission have �is54 determined that Clement Jr. High School's three ballfields, football field, running track, and security lighting would be a greater benefit to the community. It is recommended a Joint Powers Agreement with the School District be prepared addressing maintenance and operating ' programs; including a proposal to develop additional n}p parking space for the general public during athletic 041 11 ,{ ( ,, events. A motion was made and seconded to approve ,, E Resolution No. 4360 which called for the transfer of �`s designated funds from Texonia Park to Clement Jr. High School/Park Lighting Project. However, following further discussion a NO vote by all present defeated the motion because the Acting Council concluded the lighting j Qimprovements are still needed at Texonia Park. �i Because the transfer of funds was defeated, it was not �! },e; necessary for Council to act on the Joint Powers Agreement t with the School District. t Funds Acting Finance Director Lance Rurata requested Council ill approve an appropriation that would allow the City to City-Owned properly maintain two City-owned rentals at 126 Garden u Housing Hill Drive and 800 S. Wabash Street so as not to be a } detriment to adjacent property owners. Following a discussion of rent amounts being collected for these : ;A homes, Council approved by AYE votes of all present an additional appropriation from the General Fund for City Owned Housing in the amount of $6,600.00 and directed the Finance Director to raise the current rent from $300.00 to '}t{ $500.00 commencing Jp} 1� 19$8.
