Plaza, 2 East Citrus Avenue, Suite 15C, on June 9, 1992, at 9:00 A.M. PRESENT Charles G. DeMirjyn, Mayor Swen Larson, Mayor Pro Tem William E. Cunningham Dee Ann Milson, Councilmember Jim Foster, Councilmember Ronald C. Mutter, Assistant City Manager Daniel J., McHugh, City Attorney Lorrie Poyzer, City Clerk ABSENT None Audit - Finance Director Chapman introduced four representatives from Peat Marwick, Certified Public Accountants, who are doing the City's audit this year and were available to answer Councilmembers' questions. The City Council meeting recessed at 9:21 A.M. to a closed session for the purpose of discussing pending litigation. The meeting reconvened at 10:26 A.M. Santa Ana Wash - City Attorney McHugh updated Councilmembers regarding mining activities in the Santa Ana Wash and reviewed the City of Highland's request to allow them to be the lead agency by July 1, 1992.. Mayor Dennis Johnson and Councilmember Jody Scott were present at this meeting and explained their request. Following lengthy discussion, Councilmember Larson moved to direct the preparation of a letter to the City of Highland requesting formation of a joint powers agreement for Surface Mining and Reclamation Act (SMARA) and environmental review purposes for aggregate mining in the Santa Ana Wash. Motion seconded by Councilmember Milson and carried unanimously. The meeting adjourned at 10:52 A.M. Next regular meeting, June 16, 1992. ATTEST: City Clerk 0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0
