PRESENT Swen Larson, Mayor Jim Foster, Mayor Pro Tem William E. Cunningham, Councilmember Gilberto Gil, Councilmember Pat Gilbreath, Councilmember Gary Luebbers, City Manager Lorrie Poyzer, City Clerk Michael Reynolds, City Treasurer Jeffrey L. Shaw, Community Development Director Daniel Rodriguez, Community Services Director Sue LaRussa-Fair, Recreation Supervisor Steven M. Chapman, Finance Director Mel Enslow, Fire Chief Gary G. Phelps, Municipal Utilities Director Lou Perkins, Engineering Manager Lewis W. Nelson, Chief of Police James R. Bueermann, Police Captain Ronald C. Mutter, Public Works Director Steven Church, The Sun ABSENT None A joint meeting was held with members of the Board of Education of the Redlands Unified School, Superintendent of Schools Dr. Ron Franklin, and members of his staff. Hank Mercado, President of the Board of Education, called the meeting to order. Mayor Larson led the pledge of allegiance. A status report for the construction of the second high school was presented and a discussion was held regarding water and sewer usage. Dr. Franklin urged the City Council to consider their request to lower the hook-up fees. Community Services Director Rodriguez reviewed the history of the City's child care program and proposed child care facility proposed for Kingsbury Elementary School. Adjourned Regular Meeting February 14, 1994 Page 1 Police Chief Nelson and Capt. Bueermann reported on the joint security liaison program. It was noted that with the assistance of the Citizens Volunteer Patrol vandalism on the school campuses was reduced 80 percent during the recent winter break. Joint Use Agreement - Councilmember Gilbreath moved to approve and enter into a joint use agreement with the Redlands Unified School District for Kingsbury Elementary School for the purpose of conducting child care programs. Motion seconded by Councilmember Gil and carried unanimously. Adjournment - There being no further business, the City Council meeting adjourned at 8:40 A.M. Next regular meeting, February 15, 1994.
