1.996-97 BUDGET STUDY SESSION
Wastewater Division - On motion of Councilmember Larson, seconded by
Councilmember Banda, the City Council granted tentative approval for the
proposed budget for the Wastewater Division with Councilmember
Cunningham abstaining.
Solid Waste Division - On motion of Councilmember Gilbreath, seconded by
Councilmember Gil, the City Council granted tentative approval for the
proposed budget for the Solid Waste Division with Councilmember
Cunningham abstaining.
The City Council meeting briefly recessed at 9:52 A.M. and reconvened at
10:00 A.M.
Water Division - The following amendments were made in the Water Division
proposed budget:
Page 347: Zero out $17,000.00 under Fixed Assets, Account 4100
Page 371: Add $150,000.00 under Capital Projects Accounts: Wabash
Groundwater Recharge Facility
On motion of Councilmember Gil, seconded by Councilmember Banda, the
City Council granted tentative approval for the proposed budget for the Water
Division as amended, by the following vote:

AYES: Councilmembers Gilbreath (except the Sunset Non-Potable Water
Project listed on Page 56 of which she abstained from voting on
due to a possible conflict of interest in light of her membership in
the Redlands Country Club), Gil, Banda; Mayor Larson
NOES: None
ABSTAIN: Councilmember Cunningham(in its entirety)
Equipment Maintenance Division - On motion of Councilmember Gilbreath,
seconded by Councilmember Gil, the City Council granted tentative approval
for the proposed budget for the Equipment Maintenance Division, including the
elimination of one employee position and the reclassification of one employee
position, with Councilmember Cunningham abstaining.
Utility Billing Section - On motion of Councilmember Banda, seconded by
Councilmember Gil, the City Council granted tentative approval for the
proposed budget for the Utility Billing Section with Councilmember
Cunningham abstaining.
Groves - On motion of Councilmember Gilbreath, seconded by Councilmember
Gil, the City Council granted tentative approval for the proposed budget for the
Groves with Councilmember Cunningham abstaining.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, the City Council meeting adjourned at
10:46 A.M. to an adjourned regular meeting to be held on May 29, 1996, at
9:00 A.M. in the Council Chambers, Civic Center, 35 Cajon Street, Redlands,
California.
