Council Chambers, Civic Center, 35 Cajon Street, at 9:00 A.M. on May 29, 2003.

Director; and Tom Steele,Financial Analyst.
Councilmember Gilbreath requested a moment of silence be observed in memory of Lawrence
"Larry" V. Westen Jr. and J. Ross Maddox. Both died recently and were well-known
business owners in Redlands.
Southern California Edison(SCE) Joint Use Agreement-Public Works Director reported that
a condition of approval of Parcel Map No. 15911 is the widening and reconstruction of San
Bernardino Avenue between Mt. View Avenue and California Street. This necessitates the
relocation of SCE poles and overhead facilities to an area within the new public right-of-way
along San Bernardino Avenue. SCE is requesting that the City approve a Joint Use
Agreement for the future disposition of these facilities, prior to the poles and facilities being
relocated. The final agreement will be completed and presented to the City Council for
approval within 30 days. Councilmember Gilbreath moved to approve the Letter of
Agreement for Joint Use Agreement between the Southern California Edison Company and
the City for relocation of electrical facilities in public right-of-way along San Bernardino
Avenue in conjunction with the Western Realco/Bixby Land Company development. Motion
seconded by Councilmember Peppler and carried by AYE votes of all present.
STUDY SESSION
2003-04 Proposed Budget - Proposed budgets were reviewed by the City Council as follows:
Fire Department,Police Department and Management Information Systems.

ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, the City Council meeting adjourned at 10:40 A.M. to an
adjourned regular meeting to be held on June 3,2003, at 9:00 A.M.
