the Council Chambers, Civic Center, 35 Cajon Street, at 8:00 A.M. on June 15, 2004.

ABSENT None
STAFF John Davidson, City Manager; Michael Reynolds, City Treasurer; Tina Kundig,
Finance Director; and Tom Steele, Financial Analyst.
STUDY SESSION
2004-05 Proposed Budget - Proposed budgets were reviewed by the City Council for
the Municipal Utilities Department. Following a brief recess, the City Council
reviewed the supplemental requests beginning at 8:47 A.M. City Manager Davidson
presented the budget subcommittee's recommendations. Following discussion,
Councilmember George moved to approve the subcommittee's recommendations
including the opening of Fire Station 264 with the hiring of an additional six (6)
firefighters. Motion seconded by Councilmember Peppler and carried with
Councilmember Gilbreath voting NO as she continued to express concern we are
spending more than we are taking in and felt that unsafe vehicles should be replaced
from the equipment replacement fund rather than being consider supplemental
expenditures.

ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, the City Council meeting adjourned at 10:04 A.M.
The next regular meeting will be held on June 15, 2004, at 3:00 P.M.
