the Council Chambers, Civic Center, 35 Cajon Street, at 9:00 A.M. on June 7, 2005.

STAFF John Davidson, City Manager; Michael Reynolds, City Treasurer; Tina Kundig,
Finance Director; and Tom Steele, Financial Analyst.
STUDY SESSION
2005-06 Proposed Budget- City Manager Davidson reported a budget sub-committee,
comprised of Mayor Peppler, Councilmember Harrison, Finance Director Kundig,
Financial Analyst Steele, City Treasurer Reynolds, Administrative Services Director
Pettus, and himself, has met several times and has prepared a proposed base budget
and budgets reflecting a five percent cut and 7.5 percent cut and listed the
departments' supplemental needs. This information will be presented to the City
Council during four scheduled workshops. Finance Director Kundig presented an
overview of the proposed budget with anticipated revenue and expenses for the
General Fund. Councilmember Gil thanked everyone for the efforts over the past year
to keep expenses down.
Proposed budgets were reviewed by the City Council as follows: A. K. Smiley Public
Library, Fire Department, City Attorney, City Clerk, City Council, City Manager,
City Treasurer, and Finance Department.
Budget Study Sessions Schedule - Finance Director Kundig presented the schedule
for the remaining budget study sessions as follows:
June 21, 2005 Community Development Department
9:00 A.M. to Noon Downtown Redlands Business Association
June 22, 2005 Redevelopment
10:30 A.M. to 12:30 A.M. Municipal Utilities Department
June 28, 2005 Police Department
9:00 A.M. -Noon
