Moseley, City Clerk Ron Kibby, Redlands Daily Facts Charles Palmer, San Bernardino Sun ABSENT None The meeting was opened with the pledge of allegiance, followed the invocation by Mayor Waldo F. Burroughs. Steve Peterson, City Attorney Pam Repp, City Clerk COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION At a regular meeting of the Traffic Commission, held March 17, 1966 , the following recommendation was submitted to the City Council for consideration : )lution "SECTION ONE: Pursuant to Article 676 , Section 25114 676. 1 and 676. 3 of the Redlands Traffic Ordinances iffic "To establish a stop sign on Center Street to stop southbound and northbound vehicles at the inter- ,section of Fern Avenue, " Resolution No. 25114, a resolution of the City of Redlands , amending traffic ordinance by adoption of the above recommendation presented and unanimously adopted on motion of Councilman Cummings, seconded by Councilman Hartzell. )MMISSION Councilman Cummings informed Council of a special Park Commission meeting to be geld Thursday, March 31 , at 1 :30 P.M. , to review the budget for the coming fiscal year, 31NESS Resolution No. 2515 , a resolution of the City Council of the City of )lution Redlands , ordering; the canvass of the General Municipal Election to 2515 be field on April 12 , 19ia6 , to be made by the City Clerk of the City xvass - of Redlands, was presented by the City Clerk and unanimously adopted action on motion of Councilman Wagner, seconded by Councilman Martinez . Resolution No . 2516, a resolution of the City of Redlands , opposing )lution proposed changes in state aid for public libraries was explained by 2516 Librarian Edith Taylor. Fallowing lengthy discussion, on motion of 'e Aid. Councilman Cummings , seconded, by Councilman Wagner, the resolution Lbraries was adopted by the City Council. LNAGER City Manager Merritt brought to the attention of the Council the need to renew the agreement with the Dependency Prevention Commis- ;h Corps sion for the Neighborhood Youth Corps project . Following deserip- -ogram tion of the program by Analyst Hill Kraus, the Council discussed many aspects of the program. (Councilman Wagner leaves the Council Chambers at this time . ) on motion of Councilman Hartzell , seconded by Councilman Cummings , agreement for the Neighborhood Youth Corps project was approved by the City Council for another fiscal year. Bills and salaries were ordered paid as approved by the Finan( mittee . No further business demanding attention at this time, on moti( the Council adjourned at 2 :50 P.M . Next regular meeting April 5, 1966. Following adjournment , Mayor Burroughs congratulated all the 3 people participating in the Civic Day program on their keen it and enthusiasm, and complimented the Acting Council and Mayor, superior manner in which the meeting was conducted.
