I . _- z July 18, 1968, (2) considering a resolution outlining requirements placement of Western Heights Water Stock on the City' s list of aces stocks, and (3) accepting a grant deed for Lot A, Tract 7085 (Smili Heights Reservoir) . At a regular meeting of the Traffic Commission held on July 18, 19i following recommendations were submitted for Council approval: SECTION ONE: Pursuant to Article 680, Section 680. 1 of the R4 Traffic ordinance: To establish a 45 m.p.h. zone Eastbound on Redlands Boulevard Cypress Avenue and Highland Avenue, SECTION TWO: Pursuant to Article 680, Section 680.1 of the Ri Traffic Ordinance: To establish a 50 m.p.h. zone Eastbound on Redlands Boulevard Highland Avenue and .-Ford -Street. SECTION THREE: Pursuant to Article 673, Section 673.6 of the Redlands Traffic Ordinance: To establish "U" turn sign on Redlands Boulevard at Tennessee to permit Eastbound and Westbound vehicles to make "U" turns . SECTION FOUR: To approve installation of access through medii at 555 West Redlands Boulevard in accordance with plan submits developer and designated as Exhibit A. SECTION FIVE: To establish a policy for future changes in ac( break-through in the median strip on Redlands Boulevard. Crit for such changes must comply as follows: 1 . No left turn from property exit to Redlands Boulevar( 2. Maximum speed not to exceed 30 m.p.h. 3 . Adequate median width to permit construction of left deceleration lane. 4. A minimum of two car storage in deceleration lane mu: provided. Following reading of Resolution No. 2697, which establishes the chi recommended by the Traffic Commission, Council discussed at length Resolution existing median divider in Redlands Boulevard. Councilman Cummingi No. 2697 to adopt Resolution No. 2697 and make Council recommendation that I Traffic Department of Public Works consider removing the raised divider st: this section and replacing it with painted double lines, including turn deceleration lane. Motion seconded by Councilman Martinez an( carried by the following roll call vote.- AYES: Councilmen Martinez, Cummings, Mayor Burroughs NOES : Councilman Knudsen ABSTAIN: Councilman DeMirjyn Deed on motion of Councilman DeMirjyn, seconded by Councilman Martinez, a Grant Deed to the City of Redlands for Lot A, Tract No. 7085 - the site is of the Smiley Heights reservoir - was accepted, with the City Manager voir authorized to execute the certificate of acceptance in behalf of the City.
