Merritt, Jr. , City Manager Edward F. Taylor, City Attorney Peggy A. Moseley, City Clerk Erwin S. Hein, Redlands Daily Facts ALBSENT None This special meeting of the City, Council was called for the purpo considering implementation of the Emergency Employment Act of 197 City Manager Merritt explained that Redlands is one of thirteen S, Bernardino County cities eligible to participate in a program whi, provide 90% of the funds necessary for employing certain categori, unemployed and underemployed people. The program will run to Aug- 1972, and has precise requirements which were outlined in detail. application in such record time, and moved for authorization of the City Manager ' s signature on the letter of agreement. This motion was seconded by Councilman Miller and carried unanimously. On motion of Councilman Miller, seconded by Councilman DeMirjyn, unani- mous approval was also given for application for Federal funds, with the City Manager authorized to sign the application. Following further discussion of the program as it would apply to other departments in the City where there is essentially no turnover in personnel, the Council adjourned at 7:50 A.M.
