Christiansen, City Manager � s Dallas Holmes, City Attorney Lorrie Povzer, City Clerk Glenn Cunliffe, Redlands Daily Facts James Nickles, The Sun ABSENT None Mayor Roth called this special meeting of the City Council to order to set the allocation prioritization for the 1983-84 Community Development Block . Grant Funds, to be followed by a closed personnel session. 1983_$4 Councilman Martinez moved to approve the staff recommendation to place, Block the Fire Department's request for a fire truck as Priority No. 1 and to F Grant carry over the approximately $94,000.00 to 1984-85 fiscal Funds pp Y Year to fund the: expansion of the Joslyn Senior Center. Motion died for lack of a second. ., . Councilman Johnson moved to place the Joslyn Senior Center's request for C $100,000.00 as Priority No. 1 and the Redlands Day Nursery's request for $1.50,000.00 as Priority No. 2. For purposes of discussion, Councilman '. .p Martinez seconded the motion. Each Councilmember expressed his individual desires for the allocation of the Block Grant Funds. i Presentations were made by Mr. Frank Maloney for the Josel?;n Senior Center; Laura Thurmond for the Nutrition Center; and Fire Chief Ray Mills. Follow- Redlands ing discussion, Councilman Martinez withdrew his second to Councilman Nurserlt Johnson's motion. Councilman Johnson then moved to place the Redlands Day Nursery's request for $150,000.00 as Priority No. 1 for the 1983-84 Community Block Grant Funds.
