The purpose of this special meeting was to hold a worksbap session to discuss the (1)
proposed Historic and Scenic Preservation Element which is recommended to generate j {
interest and awareness of Redlands' many historic and cultural resources and focus
appropriate attention on how to protect them; (2) the proposed Historic and Scenic i �(iys,�ih
Workshop Preservation Ordinance which creates a Historic and Scenic Preservation Commission
Session and establishes rules and regulations governing the designation, preservation and i �jt�ts�r4
perpetuation of historical and scenic properties; and (3) an amendment to Zoning NIP,
Ordinance No. 1000 to establish procedures for permitting bed and breakfast in
existing single family homes in order to encourage the preservation of homes identified
by the Historic and Scenic Preservation Commission as having special historical,
architectural, or cultural significance to the community.
Appreciation was expressed to Darrell Cozen for his efforts in posting appropriate
pictures on the walls of the Chambers for this meeting, and to Bill Schindler for his
efforts, now and in the past. in prepaying legislation for the Council's review. Audience g

The meeting adjourned at 9:30 P.M.
