IN Councilmembers discussed at length their frustrations with the Norton Economic �a`
- Expansion Committee's actions. By unanimous consensus, Council agreed they20
iwould not participate in the joint powers agreement as presently proposed and, four
self-preservation, would continue to participate in the Executive Committee with ;
Dee Ann Milson as the Mayor's delegate. The City Attorney was directed to see if eft
the boundaries for the joint powers agreement could be changed or must we. abide S

by the three-mile radius, and to find out how binding or secure is any use =<

a agreement. Council also directed that letters be sent to the Chairman of the ter=
3 Committee expressing our concerns with copies to our state legislators and the
Mayors involved, and a separate letter be sent to our state legislators regarding
our concerns about air space use.
