The joint meeting of the City Council and the Human
Relations Commission was called to order at 7 : 12 P.M.
by Dr. Byrts, Chairman of the Human Relations
Commission. This meeting was scheduled to hold a
forum to discuss racial concerns and to explore
strategies toward building bridges to racial harmony.
Participants on the pannel were : Mayor Larson, Dr.
Amos Issac, Councilmember Gilbreath, Councilmember-
elect Geni A. S . Banda, Commissioner Townend, and
Chairman Byrts . When the meeting was called to
order, there was not a quorum of the City Council
present .
The meeting adjourned at 10 : 30 P.M. The next regular
meeting of the City Council will be held on December
5, 1995, and the next regular meeting of the Human
Relations Commission will be held on December 18 ,
1995 .
