"Kasey" Haws, Councilmember (arrived at 12:10 P.M.) John Davidson, City Manager Daniel J. McHugh, City Attorney Lorrie Poyzer, City Clerk ABSENT None NEW BUSINESS Employee Grievance - Ms. Mary Petite had requested an opportunity to address the City Council regarding a pending grievance filed under the City's Personnel Rules and Regulations. CLOSED SESSION Mayor Gilbreath called the meeting to order and immediately recessed to a closed session to discuss to following: 1. Conference with legal counsel - Anticipated litigation - Government Code Section 54956.9(b)(2): one case. Based on existing facts and circumstances, the City Council is meeting only to decide whether a closed session is authorized pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9 2. Conference with legal counsel - Anticipated litigation - Government Code Section 54956.9(b)(1): one case. A point has been reached where in the opinion of the City Council, based on existing facts and circumstances, there is a significant exposure to litigation. Following the closed session, City Attorney McHugh reported it had been determined it was not appropriate to discuss this matter in closed session.
