NEW BUSINESS
Open Space Acquisition Strategies - A PowerPoint presentation by Neil A.
Haylik, PhD, Natural Resources Manager for the City of San Luis Obispo,
provided a history and explanation of the policies that promote open space and
limited growth in his City. He also discussed the pro-active program that was
developed in the 1990's and the direction of the program as anticipated over the
next few years. Among other subjects, Mr. Haylik covered grant funds,
conservation easements and agricultural preserves and their role in maintaining
open space. His presentation was followed by questions from Councilmembers,
Planning Commissioners, and members of the audience.

There being no further business, the joint meeting adjourned at 2:26 P.M.
