7:00 P.M.

Although there was not a quorum of the City Council present, the Downtown
Master Plan. Charrette, as described below,proceeded.
Downtown Master Plan Charrette - This meeting was the first of an open, week-
long charrette conducted in an effort to create a Downtown Master Plan that
will be used to update the Downtown Specific :Plan which will be the guide for
future development in downtown Redlands. The firm of Torti Gallas and
Partners was hired by the City to prepare the Downtown Master Plan. The
charrette is an open process for all to come and look, and/or participate, and
provides a forum for generating ideas, and offering the public a unique
advantage to giving immediate feedback to the design team for a vision of
downtown Redlands. The opening presentation, "Food for Thought,"
highlighted the best practices in urban design and successful downtown
redevelopment.
This evening's charrette concluded at 8:37 P.M. and will continue on
Wednesday,November 3,2004, at 7:00 P.M. in the City Council Chambers.
