FAA Grant Agreement - Master Plan Update - Redlands Municipal Airport -
Mayor Peppler called this special meeting to order to discuss an FAA Grant
Agreement, identified as AIP 3-06-0195-08, for the Airport Master Plan Update
for the Redlands Municipal Airport. At this time,public comments were invited
regarding this matter. None were forthcoming. Municipal Utilities Director
Phelps introduced Airport Manager Charlotte Kranenburg who explained that at
the August 2, 2005, meeting the City Council authorized the Municipal Utilities
Department to apply for a grant from the Federal Aviation Administration
(FAA) for an airport improvement program project for the Airport Master Plan
Update for the Redlands Municipal Airport. On August 25, 2005, the City
received the grant agreement from the FAA which stated that $142,500.00 had
been allocated under the fiscal year 2005 Airport Improvement Program for the
Airport Master Plan Update. In order to qualify for the funds, it is necessary for
the Mayor to sign a grant agreement no later than August 30, 2005; hence, the
need for this special meeting. Following brief discussion, Councilmember
Harrison moved to approve the FAA grant agreement, AIP 3-06-0195-08, for
the Airport Master Plan Update for the Redlands Municipal Airport and
authorized the Mayor to execute, and the City Clerk to attest to, the document
on behalf of the City. Motion seconded by Councilmember Gilbreath and
carried by AYE votes of all present.

ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, the City Council meeting adjourned at
8:06 A.M. The next regular meeting will be held on September 6, 2005.
