Colton Ave., Redlands, California, on July 20, 2011 at 1.2:30 P.M. PRESENT: Pete Aguilar, Mayor Paul Foster, Mayor Pro Tern Jon Harrison, Councilmember Jerry Bean, Councilmember ABSENT: Bob Gardner, Councilmember STAFF: N. Enrique Martinez, City Manager; Sam Irwin, City Clerk; Carl Baker, Public Information Officer; Jeff Frazier, Fire Chief, Mark Garcia, Police Chief, David Hexem, Chief Information Officer; Rosemary Hoerning, Municipal Utilities and Engineering Director; Fred Cardenas, Quality of Life Director; Tina Kundig, City Treasurer/Finance Director To address Brown Act considerations, Mayor Aguilar called the special meeting to provide the opportunity for all Councilmembers to attend a luncheon hosted by the City of Redlands Chamber of Commerce. PRESENTATION: State of the Community - Mayor Aguilar introduced all city staff and elected officials present and provided an introductory overview of a video presentation on the State of the Community. After the video, summarized his view of the recent accomplishments of the City of Redlands government and where we go from here. PUBLIC COMMENTS: Questions from the Floor - Many subjects were addressed by residents' inquiries ranging from a future Safety Hall, the California state budget shortfalls, sidewalk repair, interstate off ramp beautification, the Mutual Orange Distributors packing house, the Redlands Mall, future economic development, San Timoteo Canyon, to the importance of a redevelopment agency. ADJOURNMENT: There being no further business, this meeting was adjourned at 1:18 P.M. The Council will meet again next at their regular meeting on August 2, 2011. July 20,2011 Page 1
